Check our PAK and NZ dream11 prediction and preview for 2nd ODI. After being whitewashed in the T20 series the visitors fight back with a thumping win over Pakistan to take 1-0 lead in three match ODI Series. The hosts will need a win to get back to level the series.

New Zealand batted first after wining the toss on slow wicket. The start was poor for the visitors who lose their opener early on on 13 runs. In form batsman Colin Munro (29 runs) and Kane Williamson (27 runs) got the start but failed to convert in to big innings. After reduced to 78 runs with loss of 3 wickets the pair of Ross Taylor (80 runs) and Tom Latham (68 runs) share a crucial partnership of 130 runs to take the team to a safe total. The lower order chips some useful runs as NZ finish their innings on 266 runs in 50 Overs. Shaheen Afridi  and Shadab Khan were good with the ball picking up four wicket for Pakistan side.

Pakistan started poorly with the bat losing three quick wickets as their top order fails while chasing a competitive total. Imam-ul-Haq (34 runs) and Shoaib Malik (30 runs) show some fight with the bat after a poor start to recover the batting failure. At one stage PAK lost 6 wickets with 85 runs on the board but Sarfraz Ahmed (64 runs) and Imad Wasim (50 runs) shared 103 runs partnership to take the game away from the grasp of Kiwis. Once both were dismissed the hosts falled quickly as they ende by losing 47 runs. Lockie Ferguson and Trent Boult picked up three wickets for New Zealand side.

The 2nd ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand will be do or die game for the hosts who were poor with the bat in the first match. With the series on the line a win will save the day for the Pakistan. The hosts quickly need to solve their batting woes as their top order was unable to show fight against the quick bowling of the Kiwis. Fakhar Zaman has lost his touch in the UAE where he averages 18.63 in 11 innings and yet to cross a fifty. The side will be pleased with the return of Imam ul Haq from an injury. Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi was impressive with the ball in their last outing. One of the biggest worry is their premium pacer Hasan Ali, who recently is going through rough patch. Mohammad Hafeez will look to make his mark in the ODI side after a brilliant performance in the tests and T20. On the other side New Zealand will look to close out the ODI series with a win after an impressive performance in the last game. Trent Boult return with an hat-trick after missing the T20 series for the visitors. The batting was good from the Kiwis as their middle order get most of the run for the side.
